About
Kelechi K. Amadi is the CEO & principal technical lead of Prairiezoic Resources Inc. He has over 11 years dedicated regulatory experience evaluating the reservoir engineering aspects of industry applications to Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources. His principal areas of experience include reservoir delineation, reserves estimation and evaluation, pooling, unitization, production-sharing agreements, special agreements, waterflooding, EOR (tests, pilots and commercial-scale projects), and confidential review of recovery projects' performance for royalty and incentive purposes. He has reviewed and evaluated over 200 projects encompassing horizontal/multilateral wells, infills, EOR schemes (CO2 EOR, gas/solvent injection, SAGD, CSS, firefloods, chemical floods and hybrid methods), proprietary tests, and pilot projects. He holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Systems Engineering from the University of Regina. Kelechi is a registered professional engineer in Saskatchewan, Canada. From 2017 to 2020, he served as the chairperson of SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) South Saskatchewan Section. He has presented at government-industry meetings such as the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference, International Energy Agency Enhanced Oil Recovery Technical Collaboration Program (IEA EOR TCP), and SPE Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) Conference. Kelechi’s expertise includes risk mitigation options for regulatory obligations, alternative compliance pathways, and managing diverse mineral ownership/interest situations. He also has a keen interest in unlocking opportunities through strategic partnerships with First Nations.
